Task #3 Emily

In Uncategorized on June 11, 2009 at 1:00 am

“I walk slowly and take notice of the architecture” was the task of the day:

I confess that I went outside only briefly today- and then neglected to walk slowly and take notice (striding, thinking, hurrying, etc . . .).

Remembering back to that moment, however, my mind’s eye sees the large middle-school near my house, completely obscured by scaffolding. Because of construction, the building looks like it is in a swaddling cocoon of metal bars from a distance, although the view changes upon standing right next to it. Under the slotted overhang, a barn, or cave-like feeling ensues . . . If it had been raining, I would have been grateful for those brief moments. I heard children playing and wondered when school would be out for the summer.
